Red sun through the mists of the Loire : A racy yet delicate Cabernet Franc, which, like always with Patrick, avoids the excessive astringency that can affect this grape variety when harvested before reaching full ripeness (Patrick is notorious for being able to wait calmly for the best time to harvest, usually long after everybody has...), offering instead a silky texture, soft tannins and the necessary acidity to highlight red fruit and liquorice flavors. A very honest introduction to Patrick's wines and to the charm of his terroir, on the shores of the Loire river.
