NYHET - La Trochoire - Elisabeth 2021 (vitt/white): Chenin from the heart of Loire Valley

Bastien Rocour has been making wine for 6 years at La Trochoire, close to Chinon, and this young winemaker has immediately made a strong impression with his white wines made with the Chenin blanc grapes iconic for the region.

Elisabeth 2021 offers a great example of how the Chenin's acidity combines superbly with the round touch of oak barrel maturation. An aromatically powerful white wine supported by a good acidity that maintains its freshness and makes it a perfect match to simply prepared seafood and fish, as well as white meat, mushrooms and cheese. The 2021 vintage offers a lighter and slightly fresher touch compared to the 2018 vintage which with its more powerful rendition reflected the solar year that 2018 was.
