Domaine de Villeneuve - Diamant Rouge 2017 (rött/red)

Located in the village of Claret in Hérault (Languedoc), Villeneuve's estate covers 50 ha of vines, most of which are classified as AOC Pic St-Loup.
Anne-Lise Fraisse, together with her beekeeper husband and children, today offers a wide range of wines that combine tradition and modernity, made from grapes grown with respect for the environment and in symbiosis with the scrublands and forests that characterize the region.

Diamant Rouge is the top wine of Villeneuve estate. A great red wine, fulfilling in every respect, made with Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. 

Sun-warmed, freshly harvested black cherries, truffles, a hint of tree bark, and mint are just some of the captivating ingredients that contribute to the exceptionally complex aroma of this aromatic experience. The wine itself is also a perfect wine: warm and harmonious fruit with ideal spice and well-integrated tannins. Delicate notes alternate with remarkable power and density. A uniquely refined wine with an almost endlessly lingering finish.

2017 is considered as one of, if not even the top vintage of this wine.
