Château de Rhodes - Chevalier de Rhodes 2020 (rött/red)

Located in Gaillac in the Languedoc, Château de Rhodes crafts beautiful wines that reflect the ancient winemaking tradition of this southwestern region with its typical grape varieties and make the most of its distinctive hilly landscape.

The vineyards are cultivated with organic cultivation methods and the work in the cellar focuses on expressing the specificity of the terroir. The harvest is controlled by careful vineyard management: justified pruning, natural cover crops, careful thinning of shoots and thoughtful leaf removal.

In our previous selection we introduced Château de Rhodes Red, the main cuvée of the estate. This time we chose to offer you the Chevalier de Rhodes. Made with 6 different grape varieties typical of the Gaillac region (Duras, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Braucol and Prunelart) this wine is a bit more fruity, fresher and sharper. It offers a beautiful body with present, well-melted tannins, aromas of red fruit such as cherry and strawberry as well as floral notes of violet and significant spiciness in the background. Complex and higly qualitative it will accompany brilliantly your more ambitious meat-based dishes as well as  enhance simpler fares. Bon appétit!
