Marie Rocher is a new winemaker who has been dealing with wine for a long time. Editing and publishing books about wine for many years, she decided to move to actually producing the stuff about 5 years ago and after being trained by some of the best natural winemakers she released her first vintage in 2018, which we are happy to introduce to Sweden now! As it has been met with a lot of enthusiasm in winebars across Paris and in the US, Marie decided to continue and the 2019 vintage of the 3 different cuvées she is making is about to be bottled.
For this Spring selection we propose 2 of these 3 wines, including her red cuvée "Les Passantes" ("the passerby" in French). Made of 100% Gamay grapes, "Les Passantes" 2018 offers a light and rather fruity roundness with just enough acidity to avoid any flatness and support the overall freshness of this easy-drinking but definitely good-quality red wine. A perfect choice for something delicious to sip while watching people -or clouds, or birds, or simply time- passing by on a mild Spring day.
Will pair nicely with poultry and good pieces of porkmeat.
