Domaine des Damoiselles - Grand Large 2023 (rött/red)

The Domaine des Damoiselles vineyard covers 25 hectares on the limestone plateaus (tuffeau) overlooking the Loire River in the communes of Parnay, Turquant, and Montsoreau, all belonging to the Saumur-Champigny appellation.
Catherine and Patrice Retif, winemakers since 1985, have converted their estate to organic agriculture over many years and got their certification in 2021.

Their wines are an authentic and qualitative expression of Saumur-Champigny wines. 

Grand Large is the more noble red cuvée of the estate. Made of Cabernet Franc, it features more intensity than the main cuvée of the estate, the  «Horizon » wine which we included in a previous selection, be it in colour, aromas and texture. 

This red wine, served chilled, can be paired with a fish in sauce, or around 15 degrees with red or white meat.
