Domaine de Villeneuve - La Sorbière 2021 (rött/red)

Anne-Lise Fraisse, together with her beekeeper husband and children, today offers a wide range of wines that combine tradition and modernity, made from grapes grown with respect for the environment and in symbiosis with the scrublands and forests that characterize the region.

Already included in past selections, La Sorbière is the signature wine of the Villeneuve estate. This Pic St-Loup red wine os made of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre grapes and aged in vats then in 225 L French oak barrels for 24 months.

Sorbière 2021 offers a rounder and slightly softer version of the bouquet of red fruits, finely roasted tannins, with a licorice and vanilla finish which could already be found in the earlier vintages.

Even in this slightly lighter form it will pair nicely with a wide range of meat dishes and soft paste cheeses, and is almost certain to please everyone. A sure bet.
