It is always a pleasure to find new upcoming winemakers with great terroir wines and we are happy to be able to add a new French wine region to our portfolio.
Located in the Bauges mountains in the French Alps, south of Annecy, the young winemaker Paul Gadenne works on a small wine estate of 2 hectars where he produces organically and by hand red and white wines with great freshness and pronounced personalities.
"La Débaroule" is a white wine made with the Jacquère grapes typical of the Savoie region. 2020 is the first cuvée of this wine and we do hope it will not be the last one as it offers a distinctive pleasant nose followed by a fresh and tensed mouth that lingers pleasantly afterwards. Tasting this wine, you will find it hard no to fantasize about cheese fondue and heart-warming Winter dishes among snowy landscapes...
Best served slightly chilled around 10°C with cheese and cheese-based warm dishes, poultry, river fishes, "La Débaroule" is a wine that will not disappoint!
